March 28, 2006 - Why I shouldn't eat ham sandwiches before bed
I don't remember how it all started, but the whole lot of us were in a van parked at some outdoor Bon Jovi concert. Not that it was a bad place to be, but we weren't there voluntarily. He performed "Dead or Alive" and was finishing up when Victoria and I got out of the car. We were handed a weird pair of boots and told to walk someplace. As we started off, I thought well, at least we'll get to see Bon Jovi, but no, he was on break. I told Victoria this would be the perfect time to run for it, but I guess that just wasn't an option.
Next thing I know, we're waiting for some big car to pick us up. There is a large group of people waiting for the bus, and for some reason we get on too. We just had to go down the driveway to get back to the van, but as the bus started moving, Victoria and I jumped off. There was supposed to be a car waiting for us, I didn't want to get in any trouble. All of a sudden my dad comes by and tells us no one ordered the car, and the rest of our compatriots in the van were gone. I knew where they were going, and I was going to find them.
We're at some kind of fair or such, that we're supposed to meet them at. For some reason it's not a good idea to call any of them directly, so I whip out my cell and dial Don. As the phone rings, I realize that's not that great an idea either, and I'm about to hang up when Don answers "Hey Stefanie." Now I have to pretend I actually wanted to talk to him. He tells me he now works at Springer, turning things over. "The cue-cards?" I ask him. That's a yes. That's also when I realize that we are actually on the Springer set. I start looking for Partipillo, but Don informs me he no longer works for Springer.
I explain to Don why I called him, to find my friends, but now I really don't need his help, because they're all in plain view. Danny waves to me - in a dress. I start cracking up. Great, he's a cross dresser...and he looks a lot better in heels and a boa than I do. I wave back, and Jon walks between us and also waves to Danny. Don keeps rambling on about the crazy people he meets and blah, blah, blah. Kim comes up to me and asks me if that's Hytham on the phone. I say yes, then change my answer to no. I tell her it's Don. She doesn't believe me and takes my phone to look at it. Don still rambles on. Danny has changed clothes, he's no longer wearing a dress, but I wouldn't be surprised if the heels were still there. I get the phone back as he says he really needs to start hanging out with normal people, and maybe we should get together. That comes as a total shock. Apparently to my phone too, who's connection is lost for a bad movie trailer of some "House of Death" movie.
I try to call Don back, because for some reason I didn't want him to think I hung up on him. I started thinking about Stephanie and how she deleted his number from her phone. Kim runs up to me and tells me that someone is stuck in the fence, and I have to do something. I run up to this tall chainlink fence with barbed wire around it and see it's Buster from Arrested Development. Nobody's doing anything, so I hand Kim my phone and start climbing. I think I was wearing heels too. Then it's not Buster caught in the fence, it's Katie, and she's on the other side hanging on for dear life. I reach the top of the fence and pull her over to me. I'm barely hanging on. Now she's on the same side as I am, clinging to me and the fence for dear life, and I'm yelling for someone to help. Someone just needs to grab her. Kim is too busy holding on to me. No one helps. I have to try and slowly lower her down to the ground, without falling myself. I'm guessing it worked.
