March 2, 2006 - You know, you'd think after such a long break, I wouldn't be having Storm dreams...
I'm working on something at work. My office is a bit nicer, and quite cleaner. I think my computer even faces the door, so I don't have to worry about people sneaking up on me.
Then, the next thing I know, Kim and I were at a self check-out in a grocery store or something. I'm not even sure if we were actually buying anything. It was not significant at all. There was kind of a drape seperating our lane from the others. The place didn't seem packed at all. The only other people that were there, that we noticed were Sammy and Blackie. They were kind of hovering over the drape. I looked down at...well, I have no clue what it was.
After they left, I told Kim that I just couldn't make eye contact with Sammy. I said that I probably should have. To let him think he makes me nervous is letting him win. I need to be stronger. I think we talked about Blackie, who was looking rather hot that day. Then he came over. He wasn't being creepy, but really nice and fun. Then Sammy came over.
He was kind of standing behind the drape thing, mostly sheilded from my view, but he was doing something. It looked like writing. Honestly, I didn't know what to do. I couldn't make eye contact if I wanted to. This guy has on occasion been such a jerk to me, but for some reason I can't dislike him. He finishes what he was doing and comes over by us. He's looking at me and he probably says something falling between the lines of charming and complete jackass-y.
Sammy and Blackie are about to leave, when Sammy kind of smiles at me and slips me a note. He tells me to call him, and I ask him if it's his real phone number or some joke he's pulling on me. He tells me it's real, and the way he looks at me leads me to believe him. They walk away, and as I'm putting the number in my back pocket, Blackie yells "Sammy's girlfriend needs to get herself a job!" I go to defend myself, and let him know I already have a job but I started by saying "Sammy's girlfriend...nevermind, I don't like where this is going." I was pretty happy though, because I felt like I had won. He had come to me.
About three days advance and I'm walking into the office. Marissa and someone else came to work with me that day. I had to call someone named Danny, and I was afraid everyone would think I was trying to call Waltman. Not that that would really matter to me, because I'd now been out with Sammy for the past three nights. No clue if we had watched Wedding Crashers yet. I think that was the original part of the dream, but I remember thinking there was no way I'd win out then succomb to that. Especially not on the first date. I'm not that kind of girl.
Some guy called the office. He was a jerk. My cousin Peter ended up getting rid of him by harassing him and putting him on hold.
There was also this subplot in which I think it was me playing the part of some other woman. Her kid, Byron, was run over by a car. But not actually. What she/me didn't know was that that was a fake kid, and the real Byron was kidnapped by someone very close to her. He then fired the maid, making it look like it was her fault the kid had died. She probably knew something.
Also in my dream, Len and I talked about my boots. They're still good boots, they're just looking crappy. Maybe I should get new ones or maybe I should polish them. Len was against the polishing idea.
